Inflation in mild breeze and launching in false lift conditions. Aware of safety implications with basket movement in windy conditions. During flight, assessing best areas to fly to given speed & direction present. Stand up landing achieved in 6kt. Notes for next flight: Appreciation of difference in dynamic of balloon in more wind compared with benign conditions. Use of checklists, more involvement in weather assessment and piball obs. More steep approaches and intermediate landings. Crew & pax briefings.

Worked at familiarisation of burner & vent controls and effect on performance of balloon. 1 x intermediate landing - carried out successfully - discussion of landing checklists. Climb to 4,000 AGL - steady rate of climb - terminal descent to 200' AGL and final landing. Carried out with reasonable control and unassisted. V good. For next flight: More work on checklists (preflight & landing). Practice more landings (target selection, approach & intermediate landings)
